The Asset Management Product Manager will work closely with customers and prospects to define the product direction, with the engineering team to extend the product to achieve that vision, and with the sales and marketing teams to increase our revenue and customer base.

Job Description Overview In recent years, the Calypso system has gained increasing traction among buy-side institutions, particularly multi-strategy firms with a significant derivatives component in their funds. Included in these customers are a mix of hedge funds and traditional asset managers. Our goal is to build on this momentum to make the system into a true buy-side system.
We are seeking an Asset Management Product Manager to own this effort. The Asset Management Product Manager will work closely with customers and prospects to define the product direction, with the engineering team to extend the product to achieve that vision, and with the sales and marketing teams to increase our revenue and customer base.
The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of the asset management process, achieved directly as a portfolio manager or indirectly as a product manager for a company serving this market.
Responsibilities
Understand market requirements by interacting with customers and company's customer support people
Develop both strategic and tactical product development roadmaps.
Produce product requirements and specifications
Participate in the sales process by demonstrating product features and presenting the product roadmap.
Coordinate work of software engineers, quality assurance engineers, and documentation to ensure timely delivery of a product that meets market requirements
Write and/or review product documentation
Train sales people and sales support people on the features of the product and how best to demonstrate and sell it
Skills & Requirements:
B.S- Master in Business/Finance or Technical field.
Minimum of 5 years working experience in asset management, either in a trading institution or as a vendor to trading institutions
Must be able to work independently.
Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator.
Strong problem solving skills.
Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
