The bank already services European expatriate, private banking customers from its City of London branch, but now wishes to extend its reach into the broader wealth management market.
As part of this strategy the bank now seeks to develop its coverage of the UK market. The first step in this process will be to build a small team dedicated to meeting the needs of the UK mass affluent. This is defined by the firm as those clients who earn in excess of £100-200,000pa, although there will always be exceptions to this rule.
