The Strategic Research Analyst is a key player in the generation and analysis of capital markets research and investment themes with particular focus on the issues of relevance to sovereign funds.
9 month contract role
Working as part of Mercer’s Investment Consulting team and a global project team, you will provide strategic research and analysis on various cutting edge investment themes and client research which will contribute to our existing thought leadership profile within the industry and business development.
You will be responsible for presenting the results of your research papers to various stakeholders and clients within the industry.
Specific responsibilities include:
Strategic research into investment related themes that will include research into the effects of sovereign wealth funds, global climate change, inflation, and other topical investment themes
Research into economic and capital market trends
Client research within particular attention on market segments within the sovereign funds market
Developing research to assist with the business development strategy
Assist with ad hoc research projects for the team
Skills and Qualifications:
5-10 years proven research experience
Graduate qualifications in economics preferred, finance or related qualifications
Previous economic and/or financial sector experience preferred, or relevant academic research experience
Demonstrated analytical skills
Strong written communication skills essential
Work autonomously to complete work of a high calibre within required deadlines
