The Accounting Analyst is responsible for participating in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close process. This position reports to the Vice President of the General Accounting Division.
Responsiblities:
The position also requires:
preparation and booking of monthly and quarterly journals relating to cash, marketing accruals, intercompany accounts and long-term debt.
Assist in the reconciling intercompany balances between business units and coordinate as required with personnel from various domestic and international offices.
Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for certain accrued expense accounts.
Assistance with special projects as they occur.
Qualifications:
The Accounting Analyst must possess an Accounting degree and be able to work independently, and as part of a team. The position requires the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet reporting deadlines and be very flexible. Computer literacy is essential as many computer systems including Oracle Financial Software and Microsoft Excel are used on a daily basis. The Analyst must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal with personnel across all busines functions. A minimum of 2-3 years accounting experience, knowledge of financial statement preparation are required.
