Our client is seeking a senior investment banking professional who has a minimum of ten years experience, with a minimum of five years covering Africa specifically, to lead a team exploring corporate finance, M & A, private placement and advisory projects across the region, to be based in Dubai.

Naturally, you will have developed your fundamental execution experience at the early stages of your career into a clearly demonstrable ability to originate new business and lead key mandates. A clear track record is therefore essential, across Africa. With a strong investment banking background you will have had experience leading teams on all matters relating to financial review, analysis and evaluation, and demonstrate the necessary complete understanding of all technical aspects of such review.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Originate, structure, syndicate and trade with third-party investors
• Establish and manage internal / external policies, procedures, and protocol including management of all applicable risks
• Regularly interface with all Commercial Bank Executive Vice Presidents and Regional Presidents to pitch a business model to internal constituents
• Develop and supervise staff in the preparation of materials to support investment banking engagements including: financial modelling, structuring, comparable company analysis, etc. to support deal positioning negotiation and execution
• Lead marketing efforts including participation on relevant Boards and Industry associations
• Participating in negotiation activities, organising and participating in proposals and management presentations
• "Ownership" of the selling document, including writing critical portions of selling document or reviewing/editing content written by others

You will have worked in a multinational investment banking environment and potentially have some boutique style advisory group exposure. GCC experience is not necessary, although coverage and proven revenue-generation across African countries is essential. Strong academics also required.
