Tech savvy Trade Data Analyst sought to work with Compliance team to collect and reconcile trade data to ensure integrity, continuously improve the trade audit process, think of news ways to automate the process (creating macros, complex formulas, bettering technology), construct audit reports, etc.
Do you have an investigative personality that loves to dig in to processes and procedures to ensure they are operating according to established procedure while continuously innovating?
Do you have well honed data collection and analysis skills coupled with impeccable written and oral communication skills?
Are you a very direct, open and honest communicator that will stand-up for what you believe in no matter what? Will you continue to push if you know there is a better way to do something regardless of who disagrees?
Do you have advanced Excel skills (VBA, macros, pivot tables, etc.) and perhaps some other programming skills (SQL, C++)?
If so, this could be the position you have been looking for.
This position will be working on a dynamic small trade audit team and will be the technology guru and constant innovator on the team. This position will also work very closely with trading floor processes and procedures and will be expected to quickly learn trade floor processes and procedures to perform this position with precision. Specific responsibilities include:
Continually streamlining, innovating and advancing the current trade audit process; creating complex Excel formulas and macros, etc..
Constructing audit reports and running asset class trade audit reports.
Reconciling trade data and ensuring integrity of the data being used in the auditing process.
Pressing forward by working alongside technology to figure out how to quickly collect and capture additional trade execution data for future analysis
Partnering with trade auditors to implement new technology solutions that automate the process even further
Ad hoc projects as requested
Qualifications:
US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Bachelors degree with a highly competitive cumulative GPA. Highly prefer minimum of a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
We prefer candidates that have graduated with degrees in heavy quantitative areas such as mathematics, computer science, statistics or accounting.
Previous audit experience is not necessary, but a love for working with data, as well as an eagerness to learn about the audit process from both a technology and business perspective required.
Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, Charting, What if Statements, Macros, etc).
Technology Savvy with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
Proven ability to challenge the status quo around every corner, thick skin; willing to stand up for what you believe in no matter who disagrees; out of the box thought process; creative and very willing to give very direct constructive criticism to anyone regardless of title to ensure improvement
Prefer candidates with 2 - 7 years total work experience as this is not a senior level position
